Student voice

Who better to share an honest opinion about METU and Budapest than the students who have spent one or more semesters here? Hear directly from those who experienced life and studies at METU firsthand.

I love METU, professors are the best, and the courses are 100% enjoyable. Student life is awesome, student clubs and events are very enjoyable. Budapest is a very beautiful city, and I would recommend anyone to visit it, especially to study in METU.

At the beginning, I was quite afraid of the teaching style, the exams and how everything would go. But I quickly found the approach to be simple, educational, and very supportive. The professors were extremely knowledgeable and treated us with great respect and professionalism. I truly appreciated the academic environment.

I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity. If I ever have the chance to return, I would be more than happy to take even more courses at METU.

Before classes began, we had Erasmus program meetings where I met students from different countries and backgrounds. Our coordinator (*from the International Coordination Office) was extremely helpful with any questions we had, which made us even more excited about the entire program.

The subjects themselves complemented each other, and you could use those skills in any area of the art industry. The professors themselves were the gems of the course. I instantly became friends with all of them; you could laugh, talk, and be yourself without anyone judging you

METU also has various clubs for different hobbies, and I joined the photography club.

The METU buildings provided maximum comfort. Every time I had something to do after class, I would stay to study there. If, for some reason, you had an issue, the METU Student Information Centre was mostly available, and any questions were answered in a timely manner.

All the academic and personal progress I experienced made it worth stepping out of my comfort zone and exploring. One thing’s for sure, I’m definitely visiting Budapest again in the near future.

I’ve also encouraged other students to take advantage of the Erasmus opportunity and visit other countries because these experiences will always leave a mark on your life.
