10 steps for Erasmus+ Incoming Staff Mobility for teaching or training
1. If you are interested in visiting Budapest Metropolitan University (hurray!) feel free to contact us at erasmus@metropolitan.hu. Please be so kind to introduce yourself and clarify whether you prefer teaching or training mobility and indicate the planned period of the mobility.
2. For teaching mobility we require a C1 English language certificate, for training a certificate of level B2. You need to send us a proof (e.g. copy of language certificate) in your first e-mail. If you do not have a language certificate, an official verification about your foreign language level published by your University is also accepted. Of course, if you are coming from an Anglo-Saxon country we do not require any certificate.
3. Once we received your enquiry, our colleague, Tímea Tohai-Oli, international coordinator will inform you about all the necessary steps and the contact(s) of the department you wish to visit.
4. Please note that the process of introducing yourself, contacting the proper person and agreeing on the exact topic/aim and date of your mobility is your responsibility.
5. Make sure to CC us always after you contacted the responsible point of contact on behalf of the department you visit.
6. If you are ready to discuss details of your visit with the assigned point of contact of the department, we (International Coordination Office) with will issue you an official agenda and invitation letter.
7. You will have to send us your Mobility Agreement in order to get it signed. We will send it back to you in a scanned form as soon as our Erasmus institutional coordinator signed it.
8. After the signed Mobility Agreement, you can start to plan your travel. If you need any help we are ready to help you.
9. We ask you to contact us one week before your arrival in order to prepare you visit and discussing some technical details (signature of official documents about your mobility, etc.) When you arrived to our campus, our colleague will wait for you to assist you. If you have any documents to be signed (hard copy of your Mobility Agreement, certificate of teaching/training), please take it into our Erasmus+ Office (International Coordination Office, Inforpark campus, building „I” office 326).
10. Signed documents will be given back on the final day of the mobility.
10+1. Erasmus+ Staff Mobility is for exchanging ideas and practical skills, to strengthen your personal vocation as an academic staff member. But we advise you to take some time for you to discover our beautiful capital and have a first hand experience about how wonderful Budapest is.
