SHORT DESCRIPTION


Media designers are the versatile creators of the 21st century, not only keeping up with technological advancements but actively shaping them. Their mission is to humanize the digital world through artistic sensitivity and creative approaches, whether in post-production, game development, or virtual reality applications. This program equips students with a comprehensive blend of theoretical knowledge and practical expertise across various media design fields, including screen graphics, motion picture creation, sound design, 3D designs, game design, UX design, visual effects, web design, interaction design, interactive applications, and installation planning.


In the first year, students focus on exploring their individual creative potential while building a strong foundation in visual logic and composition.

The second year emphasizes deepening their technical expertise, particularly in 2D and 3D design and interactive applications.

By the third year, students undertake complex, real-world projects, collaborating with industry professionals to prepare for their future careers.

The program offers two specializations:


  1. Multimedia Specialization: Ideal for students seeking broad knowledge across multiple media design fields, including UX design, web design, VFX, sound design, and projection mapping. This track emphasizes creativity and adaptability to evolving technological challenges.


  1. Game Design Specialization: Designed for students passionate about game creation, focusing on areas such as visual design, level design, character design, storytelling, and sound design. Students develop a strong foundation in game art and design.


Graduates can pursue careers as designers in the creative industries, post-production studios, game development companies, or as independent media artists. The skills developed during the program - including VFX, motion graphics, UX design, game development, virtual reality, sound design, and media installation creation - prepare them to confidently thrive in any area where art and technology intersect.


PORTFOLIO REQUIREMENTS


The portfolio should showcase the applicant's professional competencies. Submissions may include drawings, digital images, sound artworks, videos (up to 5 minutes), computer animations (up to 5 minutes), documentation of interactive objects or installations, websites, systems, offline/online games, and applications. All works must be submitted digitally in commonly used formats (e.g., JPG, PNG, PDF, MP4, MOV, GIF, WAV, MP3, etc.). For works requiring specific formats or online links (games or apps), please include the necessary details.


Each submission should also include a brief technical and conceptual description to provide insight into the background and ideas behind the work.

  1. The first year is about the laying the groundwork for the mindset of an artist, visual logic and composition skills while exploring your individual creative competences. 


  1. The second year focuses on deepening your technical knowledge, getting to know tools and software, most of all in 2D and 3D design as well as interactive applications 


  1. The third year you can design and accomplish complex tasks, creative projects, and you can prepare for your graduate career in live situations, in cooperation with real stakeholders of the creative industry
