HUNGARIAN DIASPORA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Hungarian Diaspora Scholarship Program supports students of Hungarian heritage living abroad who wish to pursue higher education in Hungary. The program offers full or partial scholarships, aiming to strengthen cultural ties and provide high-quality academic opportunities.
At METU, Diaspora scholarship recipients can enroll in Hungarian-language Bachelor’s and Master’s programs, including:
- Finance and Accounting (BA)
- Tourism and Hospitality (BA)
- Marketing and Advertising (BA)
- International Economics and Business (MA)
- Journalism and Information (MA)
Scholarship details
- The Diaspora Scholarship covers full tuition fees for BA and MA students at METU.
- Students also receive a monthly stipend of HUF 43,700 for living expenses, plus HUF 40,000 monthly accommodation support.
- Other costs, such as travel and study materials, are the responsibility of the student.

- Applicants should follow the official application guidelines and submit all required documents, including proof of Hungarian heritage, academic records, and motivation letter.
- Application deadlines are announced annually by the Hungarian Government; for the 2026/27 academic year, check the portal for exact dates.
