Budapest Metropolitan University invites applications for the position of Rector Due to the expiry of the current term of office, Budapest Metropolitan University (METU) invites applications for the position of Rector of the institution from both the national and international academic community. 

The Budapest Metropolitan University is the largest private university in Hungary with nearly 7,000 students, of which 1,000 are international students. The university offers a wide range of courses, including more than 20 bachelor's and 21 master's programmes, as well as specialised further and higher education courses, in both Hungarian and English. 

METU focuses on practical education tailored to the needs of the labour market and personalised support for students' individual learning paths. The institution ensures the development of professional competences for students through its innovative myBrand educational methodology programme and sees students as partners in the educational process. 

The METU's mission is to ensure access to knowledge, education and culture for the widest possible range of people, thus maximising its social impact. METU's vision is to become the leading market university in Central Europe through strong international expansion, developing its academic, educational and research potential in both domestic and international areas, as well as its links with key players in the economy, in particular the creative industries.
