Why do some family businesses successfully pass from one generation to the next while others disappear within a few years? Is business succession a matter of strategy, leadership, family relationships or simply luck?
FEIR HUB student researchers will present their findings on one of the most important challenges facing family-owned businesses: transferring a company, its values and its future to the next generation. Through a series of engaging short presentations, participants will discover the factors that can make succession successful, the hidden risks that often lead to failure, and the ways in which sustainability, responsible leadership and innovation influence long-term survival.
Why do we use so many abbreviations when discussing sustainability? How do CSR and ESG differ, what do the SDGs stand for, and why are these concepts so often confused?
The programme will also examine the specific challenges faced by the hotel industry, the financial sector and agriculture, the opportunities available to universities, and the questions that the ESG framework can – and cannot – address.

What kind of jobs will be available ten years from now? Which professions will disappear, what new careers will emerge, and what skills will help people succeed in a world increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence?
This interactive session invites participants to imagine the workplace of 2035. Together, they will explore how AI, digital transformation, sustainability, demographic change and evolving employee expectations are reshaping careers and organisations.
The discussion will address future professions, new forms of leadership, wellbeing at work, diversity and inclusion, and the human skills that technology cannot replace. Rather than predicting a single future, the session encourages participants to think creatively about the opportunities, uncertainties and career paths that may lie ahead.
Faculty of Art and Creative Industries
The programmes introducing the Faculty of Art and Creative Industries offer an insight into the work of the Animation and Media Design, Fashion and Textile, Film and Television, Graphic Design, and Architecture and Design departments.

The conversation with the poet will be led by Ferenc Kőszeghy, Assistant Lecturer at Budapest Metropolitan University.
A roundtable discussion exploring the social, cultural and philosophical meanings of freedom.
