The Business Beyond Disruption Conference 2026, hosted by Budapest Metropolitan University under the chairmanship of Dr. Gyenge Balázs (Head of the Institute of Business Sciences) and organized by Sewornu Kobla Afadzinu and Dr. Géza Kálmán Botond, focuses on “The Future of Business in an Era of Disruption: Resilience, Responsibility and Renewal.” It will bring together academics, practitioners and students to discuss how businesses can navigate technological, environmental and geopolitical disruptions while building resilient, responsible and sustainable models for the future. The Conference is part of the university’s strategic effort to strengthen dialogue between academia and practice on the future of business in a rapidly changing global environment. The goal of the conference is to explore how businesses can adapt to technological, environmental and geopolitical disruptions, to discuss pathways toward resilient and sustainable business models, and to reimagine corporate responsibility in building a renewed global economy.

Dear Session Chairs, Co-Chairs, and Session Secretaries,

On behalf of Budapest Metropolitan University, we would like to thank you for accepting our invitation and for your valuable contribution to the organisation and delivery of the Business Beyond Disruption 2026 – Flexibility, Responsibility and Renewal Conference.

The conference will take place on 30 January 2026 at the Budapest Metropolitan University, King Louis the Great Campus

(1148 Budapest, Nagy Lajos király útja 1–9., Round Building).

In the attached program booklet, you will find:

• the room number assigned to your session (Round Building),

• the speakers and presentations included in your session,

• the schedule of presentations within your session,

• the Zoom connection link (see below) for your session, which will be used by any online participants.

Please note that this link is not the same as the one to be launched on the computer in the room, as the on-site central computer will act as the host.

The campus and individual buildings are easily accessible, and our colleagues will be happy to help with orientation upon arrival.

Professional and organisational guidelines

• The moderation of the sessions and the dynamic management of time are fully entrusted to you.

We kindly ask you to aim to keep the average presentation time, while handling any deviations flexibly.

• If a speaker does not appear, please do not interrupt the program; presentations may be reordered as needed to ensure efficient use of time.

• The moderation of the closing discussion and Q&A of each session also falls within your responsibility.

Lunch

According to the current arrangements, lunch vouchers will be distributed during registration to speakers, session chairs, co-chairs, and secretaries. Further details will be provided on site.
