ERASMUS+ CREDIT MOBILITY

For 30 years now, the European Union has been funding Erasmus programs. It has given students from all over Europe the opportunity to spend part of their studies at another university (in Europe). The Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility, on the other hand, has taken a step further. First introduced in 2015, it aims at giving individuals and organizations from all around the WORLD the opportunity to have an enriching international experience. The International Credit Mobility, ICM in short, gives students and staffs from different universities the opportunity to exchange places for a certain period of time and indulge themselves in a new culture and environment.

The opportunities provided for individuals and institutions

Within ICM, participants have the opportunity to apply for the following mobilities:

o Student mobility for studies – the mobility period can last from 3 months to 12 months

o Student mobility for traineeships – the mobility period can last from 2 to 12 months

o Staff mobility for teaching- the mobility period can last from 5 days to 2 months

o Staff mobility for training – the mobility period can last from 5 days to 2 months

During these times, individuals have the opportunity to attend and perform guest lectures, engage in joint research programs, work on a double degree, and much more.
